Let it be said this was all Eric's idea. But she was genuinely curious as to whether there were maybe things that would work or not. She was sure staring at it wouldn't do much, but it still almost felt like doing something.

As they stepped outside and Jaina looked up at where she knew the stars were supposed to be, she said, "I don't know why I thought it'd be less creepy when I knew it was daytime."

Jaina knew full well what weekend it was. After the past two years, she expected it, even kind of looked forward to it. She was hoping John would be okay with it, though, because she understood kids you had in high school coming back all "Daddy!" a decade later might be a tiny bit weird.

It didn't stop her from dragging him out to get breakfast that morning, as was tradition. And as she led towards JGOB, she couldn't help looking around every so often in case of wee children throwing themselves in their direction.

[For that guy and those kids.]

Jaina had conveniently- or not so conveniently- missed any signs telling everyone what the fog did, or giving out masks because she couldn't be out like a dumbass if she saw those, la so she was out without one tonight. For as freaked out as she'd been yesterday, that was exactly why she was out again today. So, okay, she'd snapped yesterday, or had something mess with her, or something, but that didn't change the fact that she still had a bad feeling that wouldn't go away and she thought she could handle this. She just had to try and control her own reactions better.

It didn't help that she kept hearing things like growls and roars coming from somewhere, but she kept telling herself to ignore it. She kept telling herself that a lot. Especially since she wasn't even sure where exactly she was at this point, thanks to not being able to see hardly anything ahead of her.

And gee, it'd suck for her to figure out today that the things were actually attacking now, huh?

[For one!]

Hearing radio last night had probably kept at least a couple people indoors today, but that would be the exact opposite of Jaina's style. If there were things in the creepy fog, then she was going to be out in the creepy fog. It could be blamed in part on natural curiosity, in part her job description, and in part because some weird prophecy thing told her she had to do this sort of thing.

After a while of patrolling, though, she was beginning to doubt whether coming out here was a good idea after all. There'd been far too much seeing things that weren't there a second later, and when you found yourself running through calming techniques while being ready to possibly fight things, that was a problem.

[For one, unless the NPCers get bored and wanna throw a monster in.]

Today hadn't been bad so far, which was more than a little surprising, and Jaina decided she might as well capitalize on it by doing some training so she could feel more accomplished. After going for a quick run around the island- Myrkr had definitely showed her that keeping up stamina was a very good thing- she was happy to find the flight shed on her first try, figuring she could get some more time in there. Yes, again. Shush.

[Open, should you wanna catch her.]

Last night had definitely been nice, as had this morning, which was why Jaina wasn't in a rush to get on with her day. Especially if she was leaving on Tuesday, she might as well enjoy it while she could. On the way to the Perk, she asked John, "Think the caffeine's back yet?"

[Yes yes another meetup post, for the fam.]

Jaina
Jaina had wanted to work out some of whatever she'd been feeling the last couple days. Unfortunately it hadn't made her feel any better, just more tired.

Coming back from the town gym, she made her way to the salle in order to put her lightsaber away. She had the feeling lately that she just wanted it on her, but she'd also really rather not get expelled, either.

She probably should have stayed at the dorms all day. )

[NFI, NFB, OOC replies to be stuffed and mounted on my wall. And possibly dressed.]
