solo_sword: (older!boy!jaina- in a mood)
Upon waking up, Jaina could tell something was different. Even rolling over in bed just didn't feel right somehow, and after this many years dealing with Fandom, she didn't think there was anything to freak out about. She just sighed, got up, went into the bathroom to look in the mirror-

And stopped.

It wasn't every day the first thing you really saw in the morning was the face of the twin brother you'd killed staring back at you in the mirror, and it was really something Jaina never, ever wanted to see again. Especially when the last time she'd seen this face had been when he was dead and she was cradling his head in her lap while her parents and Jag treated her injuries and she tried to say her goodbyes thinking she was going to die right after him. And she was realizing just how much she hadn't dealt with that because she was freaking the kriff out right now.

When she'd learned shatterpoint, no one had probably thought she'd end up using it on a mirror because she couldn't deal with what she saw in it, and yet. She'd deal with picking up the pieces later, but for the time being she went back to her bedroom to pick up her phone and send a text (because apparently this job got slightly more consideration than the Jedi did), and resigned herself to thinking if she had a breakdown over this one, she deserved it.

[I'm less of a bad person if I feel bad about it, right? Can be open with a warning of OMG not a good mood.]
solo_sword: (reunion!jaina- serious)
The first thing Jaina noticed when she woke up was that she was alone, which wasn't exactly abnormal. It just meant that she began an immediate, automatic check of what she knew of Jag's schedule for that day that always ended with her deciding it was too early for her to be expected to remember that. What she found abnormal was when she reached out with the Force to check in on the boys and make sure they were at home and unkidnapped and not causing any interplanetary incidents and didn't find them there.

She'd opened her eyes and sat up in bed, letting the haze of sleep drift away before remembering that she was in Fandom, and that she was supposed to be alone. Jag had had a conference to go to in Alliance space, and so Han and Leia took the kids in order to give Jaina a break to go to the reunion. Incidentally, the only time Han and Leia got their grandsons for a few days at a time was when Jag wasn't involved in the decision; as much as he liked his in-laws, leaving two young princes alone with people whose own children had been kidnapped or involved in interplanetary incidents on several occasions made him uneasy, and after hearing that story about how eight-year-old Allana had committed arson while left alone for a few days, he'd put his foot down.

Feeling more at ease without that worry, she realized she had to question her surroundings. It looked familiar, but as there was hardly anything in the way of decoration, it took a second to realize why it looked familiar. Give her a break, she'd moved out twenty years ago. This led to Jaina getting up and exploring what used to be her apartment for a while, finding that everything was more or less where she remembered it.

"Oh, Fandom, you never get less weird," she sighed as she headed to put on some coffee. She really, really needed it.

solo_sword: (wtf.)
In the time that Jaina was showering, a pie had appeared on her desk. She noticed it right away when she came out of the bathroom, still pulling her hair back with a tie, and she had absolutely no idea how this had happened. She'd learned about locking doors after the gremlin thing, so she didn't see how it could have gotten there. She even unlocked the door to make sure, leaving it cracked open.

Approaching it cautiously, she watched to see if anything would happen, and then poked it with a finger.

That would be when the rat popped out of the pie, dressed in full-on swashbuckling gear, and she might have heard it say "Arrrrr!" before it scampered off the desk and ran through the opening in the door. Brandishing a weetiny sword.

Huh. Jaina looked to the pie, which she now had to clean off her desk, muttering, "I hope I wasn't expected to eat any of that."

[Door's cracked, post can be open, mainly it's just been a while since I've engaged in random Fandom insanity. :)]

Once Jaina had called John to bitch, hey guess who wanted to see her. There were mixed feelings on this, yes. Especially if they were on his time, which meant she was stuck like this longer, though at least she'd still have time to get everything done she needed to do before tomorrow. You know. Like explaining to Wedge and Jag why she looked and sounded like Jacen. Though she was pretty sure Jacen had never looked this pissy.

Having agreed to meet up at the hotel, Jaina knocked on the door to the room, still hating everything. At least here she was relatively sure she could freak out with the management only telling her to shush once or twice, as opposed to somewhere embarrassingly public.

[For the boy... the real boy, and blissfully NFB for distance.]

Jaina woke up with powdered sugar all over her and a sudden wish for amnesia. ...A gremlin killing spree would probably be frowned upon, right?

She finally made herself get out of bed, take a really really hot shower to get rid of the powdered sugar and to try to feel clean after singing inappropriately dirty songs to inappropriate people, frowned at the plant that seemed to be hanging from her doorways, and debated just getting back into bed.

And ow her chest hurt.

[Door closed, post open, though I'm afk for a lot of the day so yay SP!]

After getting off the comm with her grandfather, Jaina was back to bored again. Seriously, she didn't find much time to be bored on Eclipse, since there was always something that needed doing, or brothers to separate, or at least someone she could drag to spar against. The back and forth was very weird. And also, messing up her sense of the days.

She was seriously debating heading out to the mainland, since the arctic tundra was gone, and thank goodness. Eh, why not. She got up from her seat on her bed and went to the closet to get her boots, frowning at the little X that appeared on the floor. She ignored it, at least till she went to put her boot on. A moment later she was pulling her foot back out, muttering, "Okay, from now on, check the shoes first."

Could have been worse. She could have smooshed the chocolate.

[Door open, post can be too.]

Jaina was still not usd to this whole mom to alternate universe children thing (and it had to be an alternate universe, because cute as they were, she was not going there for a very long, long time), but the thing that surprised her most was how easily the twins had accepted why John and Jaina didn't know them. Good to know Fandom could train future generations for weird.

Since they'd be camping out in John's room, fort and all, Jaina decided she'd just grab some things from her room now so she wouldn't have to keep going up and back. And she had Jaryd accompanying her, since he was already bored and wanted to wander and she wasn't sure she wanted to see John left alone with both of them for that long anyway. Which was why she was sort of really hoping this very temporary.

[For the kid, and if the roomie wants to ping in before they leave.]
solo_sword: (this is me astounded)
Last night had definitely been nice, as had this morning, which was why Jaina wasn't in a rush to get on with her day. Especially if she was leaving on Tuesday, she might as well enjoy it while she could. On the way to the Perk, she asked John, "Think the caffeine's back yet?"

[Yes yes another meetup post, for the fam.]
solo_sword: (irritation)
Jaina had had a rough few weeks, she wasn't sleeping especially well, and now there were little... pastel-colored things swarming their way to her bed. Of course, Fandom had given her a bit of perspective, which was why she was negotiating.

"Look, I'm really not in the mood for this," she was saying. "If you're going to do your thing, fine, you'll be gone soon enough, but can you do it elsewhere?"

The peeps continued their charge towards her.

"If you come near me, I will stomp on you," she warned. One or two were smart enough to turn away to make a claim for the closet instead.

[Door can be open, if you don't mind SP while I clean. And that always said morning.]
solo_sword: (i'm just here)
After classes, Jaina came back upstairs, closing her closet door against a pair of talking boots- talk about unethical treatment some more now- and decided she just had to go ahead and make the call home. It might be the weirdest question ever, but she'd volunteered to have it and really, this was something she might as well talk about anyway. Back to real life and all.

Besides, the look on her uncle's face when she explained that she needed to know a wedding ceremony- not for her- but so that he could officiate the marriage of his father to his 19-year-old girlfriend was pretty classic.

[Door's closed, post is open post-Luke trauma.]
solo_sword: (sleepytime)
Jaina was aware of two things immediately when she woke up.

1. She was on the floor, with a pillow on her head.
2. She had the worst headache any human could ever stand to have without their head exploding out of mercy.

Taking a moment to see if she couldn't do something about the headache, it suddenly occurred to her why she had a headache. Because forgetting the stuff she'd done the day before yesterday (including thinking her boyfriend was a one night stand, messing with some guy, and insulting Victor) she'd gone to scam drugs off a disabled girl at the clinic, then gone drinking, flirted with... a different some guy, and flashed a drag queen before coming back and- where was she?

She sat up, getting more pounding in her head at her troubles, and saw the girl in the bed. She'd never been so glad to have been pushed out of a bed in all her life, because that would have been scarring.

[For me, open to the other occupant of the room after the other me leaves.]
solo_sword: (brooke)
Brooke was pretty comfortable snuggled up to... whoever she was snuggled up to. When she started to wake up, she did a normal check of Am I hangover? followed by Am I still drunk? and finishing up with Whose room is this? She peeked an eye open, saw it wasn't hers, and figured it was a good idea to cut and run before things had a chance to get uncomfortable. Stretching a little, she sat up, immediately surveying the room for a few necessary items, like clothes.

[For the room's owner. Yes, Jaina's now Brooke. THIS WILL NOT BE CONFUSING AT ALL.]
solo_sword: (tank top)
After yesterday's trip into the common room, Jaina decided maybe she'd stick to her own room today, at least until she knew this current bout of Fandom weirdness was over. She could only deal with so much patheticness in one weekend and she was pretty sure she'd filled her quota of being yelled at, cried at and accused of liking other boys better.

So until then she was going to keep working on her homework. With the door closed.

[It's still knockable, though.]
solo_sword: (determined)
When Jaina got back to her room, she found a few packages outside her door. She hadn't expected anything, considering she still had zero idea what the holiday was even about, but she appreciated it. And upon going inside and opening them, she realized that this was another one of those things she could never tell her aunt about Luke.

The common room and the former six or seven feet of hair that she'd spent a really large portion of her Christmas Eve chopping into a reasonable length above her shoulders had kept her busy for a while, but she wasn't doing well giving herself any time to think. There were things she was very specifically trying to avoid thinking about, thanks. Alone time wasn't conducive to avoidance.

how avoiding stuff totally equals doing potentially stupid things )

[NFI, property stolen with permission, la.]
solo_sword: (looking away)
To be completely honest, Jaina wasn't sure why she was here. Today had been entirely messed up, and suddenly she was agreeing to meet her twenty-years-older apparent ex at his "old" room. She really did want to talk, to find out what was new and how he was, and also because anything else they usually got up to might be considered a felony here at the moment.

Taking a breath, she knocked on the door.

[For the room's owner!]
