( Getting onto Ylesia had been enough of a challenge, with surprise Vong coralskippers going after the landing party and forcing Twin Suns into more combat aided by Jag Fel's Chiss squadron, but the New Republic ended up taking out an entire Vong frigate, and as starts to a battle went, that was pretty good. )

( Jaina always expected plans to go wrong on some level, which was why she hardly blinked an eye when the Vong sent reinforcements to help the Peace Brigade. It just seemed like something she should have known would happen anyway. )

After being extracted from Ylesia, having to give debriefings, and helping to usher refugees where they needed to go, Jaina was more than happy to be able to go as off duty as she tended to get. As trips went, this had been pretty successful: she got work done, completed an operation that went completely off the rails and survived.

Once she'd sent her pilots on their way and successfully not hit Jag, she was able to pull John back to her quarters, figuring neither of them would be missed for some unwind time.

"I never want to do that again," she announced, turning on the lights inside the room.
