Eclipse, Sunday Fandom time

If there was one thing Jaina had to show John before the trip was over, it was the Falcon. Besides, giving him the tour meant actually getting some time to themselves on a base full of people.

Not worrying at all if her inner geek showed through while describing all the systems and the modifications that she knew of (and let's face it, the odds were there were some she wasn't aware of), she led him to the cockpit, where she slid easily into the pilot's seat, just because she could. "Have I bored you yet?" she asked.

[For the boy. NFB for distance.]

"I'm not," he promised. "It's like visiting some far off futuristic land."

"Have I mentioned I'm glad you brought me along?" It made John feel something akin to special.

"It'd kinda be disappointing if you regretted it," he said thoughtfully.

"There's still time," John teased. "Not that I've seen a bar."

"You'd think they'd have one here," he sighed. "It's hot enough."

John couldn't complain too much about the heat, given he'd used it as a good excuse for why he was sweating while Han asked him questions. "Sounds about the way things should go. The A/C'll be out again by the time you get back."

"I'd take the cold over the heat any day," John declared. "There are many ways to keep warm." He probably should not allude to dirty things sitting in her father's ship, but sometimes he just wasn't very bright.

"Hey, Luke worked with me on closing myself off," John retorted. "I am capable." No, he wasn't.

"Hypothetically, I like that idea," he said, smiling. "In reality, I don't know what you could possibly mean."

"You Jedi and your wacky blathering," he teased.

"There's a first time for everything."

"I don't know about you, but I'm still on the clock here," he said, standing and hooking his thumbs on his pants. "Wouldn't want to get on anyone's bad side."

John avoided work when he didn't care. It sort of scared him that he did care here. "I didn't know I had one, but your dad's persuasive."
