After a week of being back, Jaina was doing surprisingly okay. At times it was extremely bizarre to be here, and at others it felt completely normal, like... well, not like she'd never left, but normal. The "It is what it is, deal with it" mentality she was sporting seemed to be doing her a lot of good.

And sure, there was some degree of homesickness, but that was helped by things like sitting out on the front steps of the cabin, probably managing to block the way of anyone trying to get in or out, reading a report from Zekk on where he was and what he was doing. It was something. And mentally figuring out what she'd be doing if she was on the mission with him (meaning, she knew she'd be doing things better) happily kept her brain off bad topics.

And kept her from remembering that she still had a song or two stuck in her kriffing head from last kriffing week.
